Open to all college students! Nominations by Coaches and Directors only!
Featuring some of the top HBCU dancers, auxiliary, and color guard students; HBCUADD All-Stars are truly leading the game! Our College All-Star Program seeks to steer students through strategic partnerships to their desired field of post-graduation success!
First Look Cohort
High School Seniors & Current College Students
Want to skip an audition or potentially make a team on the spot at the HBCUADD Conference? Then the "First Look" Cohort is just right for you! This program is a three-day intensive geared to prepare students for the HBCU audition process and provide the opportunity to audition with more than 25+ teams!

NATIONAL HBCU AUXILIARY AND DANCE DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION COMPETITION ASSESSMENT PROGRAM (CAP)
Do you have a competition coming up? Would you like to start competing? Are you required to participate in a state sanctioned review or contest?

HBCUADD can provide a wealth of expertise from our selected performance professionals as you prepare for your event.

This is not just for HBCU or Showstyle events. We can provide assessment in any genre for any type of competition or event.
NATIONAL HBCU AUXILIARY AND DANCE DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION COACHES MENTORING PROGRAM (CMP)
We are here as a resource for ALL of our HBCU Performance team coaches! We have created a program based on a need that HBCU coaches have. CMP includes the following:

Sometimes coaches, new and experienced, need mentoring or simply a chance to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, or learn about ideas, technologies and support that can be made available to them.

We will provide an online session to any coach that requests it. CMP will be free to HBCUADD members, and offered at a fee for non-members.


NATIONAL HBCU AUXILIARY AND DANCE DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION HBCU2PRO INITIATIVE
We are fortunate to have HBCU graduates and current performers have opportunities to perform with professional teams, in all forms of media and on tour with celebrity artists.
We have been blessed to have as special guests at our National Conference Kiki Ely of KikiKastings, The Rockettes Dancer Development Program, JaQuel Knight, Naderah and many others representing professional performance. We have provided a scholarship to a deserving student member to attend the Pro Action Dance Combine in Las Vegas and hope to continue these engagements for our members.

HBCUADD is dedicated to highlighting the pathways to those that are interested in performing professionally by:

Sponsoring workshops and virtual panel discussions for our members to understand what it takes to advance to the professional ranks

Providing scholarships to the events of our partners who provide training and education for members.

It's our goal to make sure our members are exposed to all opportnities via the HBCU2PRO initiative
NATIONAL HBCU AUXILIARY AND DANCE DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
-
Scholarship requirements
-
Must be a member of an HBCU dance line, Color Guard/Flag LIne or majorette team.
-
Must have a 2.8 GPA or higher.
-
Must submit a 500 to 1000 word essay discussing “Why being on that team is important to their HBCU experience “.
-
Must submit a one minute solo of themselves performing.
-

All submissions will be reviewed and scored by the HBCUADD executive board. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the National Conference.

Our plan is to increase the number of scholarships as HBCUADD grows.


NATIONAL HBCU AUXILIARY AND DANCE DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION COACHES CERTIFICATION

Attendees include current and future directors/coaches on every level (HBCU, high school and community team).

Attend certification workshops on subjects pertinent to HBCU performance team coaching: Skills, choreography, dance/flag/baton terminology Coaching requirements Leadership and Communication styles Nutrition/First Aid for performers Social Media And much more....

After initial certification attendees may keep certification current with continuing education
